  1. On the complaint received from Pratap Singh Bhadauria r/o Kaurari Khera, Mainpuri that he had been cheated and persecuted by dowry- grabbing Chhavi Nath Singh Bais and his sons r/o Jarara Jafrabad, Chhibramau, Farrukhabad. Sri Har Narayan Yadav, the National President Dahej Niwaran Awam Samaj Kalyan Parishad launched an agitation with his colleagues on 20th August 1984 at Farrukhabad collectorate and succeeded in the prosecution and arrest of the dowry- demons Chhavinath Singh was a crook. He would take dowry in advance to marry his son, i.e. the bridegroom and thus say that the marriage could not take place and would not return the dowry he had taken.

  2.  Ram Siya Tripathi a teacher at S.N. Inter college, Etawah r/o Lal Pura Etawah, married his daughter Aruna Dwivedi to Chhedi Lal s/o Brahmadeen Dwivedi r/o Phaphund road, Dibiyapur. Since she did not bring the demanded dowry, she was murdered and her body was places on a rail track. The police took some bride from her in laws and handed over the body to them without any post- mortem.
          Dahej Niwaran Awam Samaj Kalyan Parishad launched an agitation which scared the police authorities it was then that the dowry seekers were arrested and prosecuted. It is relevant to recall that the soul of the deceased Aruna entered the body of another women and the related the hateful and heinous crime of her in laws. Parapsychologists and research scholars of many countries visited India to make an instance study of the case of transmigration of soul.

  3.   Chandra Bhan Singh Sikarwar r/o Rambagh colony, Shinde ki Chhavni, Gwalior married his daughter Rekha Sengar to Ram Manohar Singh s/o Jag Mohan Singh r/o Badera, Ajitmal, Auraiya, Etawah. Ram Manohar would torche his wife Rekha for dowry in various ways seeing the plight of his daughter. Chandra Bhan Singh went to the court. Ram Manohar, in employee of Oriental Bank, Gwalior, assured the court that he would treat his wife well in future and not give any cause for complaint and produce her in the court whenever so desired. However taker he did not abide by the order of the court. He did not produce his wife in the court and did not appear in the court himself either Rekha’s father expressed before the police and administrative authorities his apprehension that his daughter had been murdered. He then filed a habeas corpus writ in the hon’ble High court the police officials of P.S. Inderganj Gwalior did not care for the court order. They took some perfunctory action and buried the case by saying that Rekha Sengar was not traceable.
         It was then that Chandra Bhan Singh approached Sri Har Narayan Yadav, the national President of Dahej Niwaran Awam Samaj Kalyan Parishad . The Parishad realized the gravity of the case and thoroughly investigated it. The villagers reported that Ram Manohar Singh with his brother Ram Kishor Singh had severely beaten Rekha killed her and then threw the body in to Yamuna. No sooner did the police prosecute Rekha’s husband and sent to jail. The other accused surrender in the court.

4.   Sarita d/o Rajendra Singh Kushwah r/o Moh. – Bilwar, Bhind (M.P.) was married to Ravindra Tomar on 11th July 1994. After ritual (Gauna), just three days later on 17th Nov 1994, she burnt alive by her husband Ravindra, his elder brother Bhoopendra & Surendra and other in laws. Sarita’s father reported to the authorities that his daughter had been killed for dowry. She could not have died by the stove burns while cooking because there were two cooking gas connections in the house, and there was no need to cook food on a stove. The matter came up for discussion in the M.P. Assembly too. Sarita’s parents appealed to all police officials from the lowest cadre to the highest but to no avail.
          Then they contacted Sri Har Narayan Yadav, the National President Dahej Niwaran Awam Samaj Kalyan Parishad. Cutting sort his tour of Siliguri, West Bengal, Narayan Yadav reached Gwalior met the S.P. and urged him to register a case of dowry murder. Then S.P. Ram Niwas Yadav observed that Sarita’s death was a mere accident and that her parents were unnecessarily raising a hue and cry and blaming the police for in action. It was duly mentioned in the police report that Sarita has accidentally died while filling kerosene tank of the stove. There was leakage in the stove tank and so there was no question of the stove being lighted and consequently Sarita getting burnt. When Sri Har Narayan Yadav presented this incontrovertible proof before the SP, he was badly shocked and surprised. The police P.S. of Madhoganj, Gwalior came into immediate action as soon as The Parishad started an Indefinite Dharn Gwalior collectorate on 25th March 1995 under the leadership of Har Narayan Yadav and very next day the murderous husband, together with his associates was prosecuted & sent to jail.

5.   A horrifying episode in the series of dowry murders is the heenious and abominable murder of the newly wedded Ritu. Her in laws took rupees 50 Lakhs in dowry at her marriage in February 2002 and later demanded an additional Rs.10 Lakhs to purchase a house in Ghaziabad. When Ritu’s father Pradip Chaubey r/o Chaugurji, Etawah could not meet this demand Ritu’s husband Vivek Kumar Sharma r/o Tamna Ki Garhi, Hathras and in laws started persecuting & torturing her in sundry ways. Ritu’s parents somehow managed an amount of Rs. One lakh and reached Hathras. They were informed that Ritu was admitted in G.G. Nursing Home, Agra and on reaching there they found their daughter Ritu dead. Since Ritu’s in laws are closely related to the then UP Cabinet Minister Ram Veer Singh Upadhyaya the police did not dare arrest the culprits. The circle officer had immediately been transferred for he had tried to investigate the case.
          Dahej Nivaran Awam Samal Kalyan Parishad started an indefinite Dharna at the collectorate at Hathras to press for the arrest of Ritu’s husband and in laws who has killed her for dowry. The Parishad received whole hearted support and co- operation of local people and service organizations. The police was thus compelled to arrest the culprits and put them behind the bars.

 Thus there are numerous cases in which the Dahej Niwaran Awam Samaj Kalyan Parishad took action and succeeded in the prosecution & arrest of the culprits and getting justice for the aggrieved.
